# Bulk actions and bulk replies

> Select many comments at once to hide, label, assign, delete, or answer them with AI replies.

Bulk actions let you handle a batch of comments in one go, for example hiding a wave of spam or answering a pile of shipping questions. You need the **Manage comments & DMs** permission to use them.

## Select comments

1. In **Social Inbox > Comments**, tick the checkbox on a comment.
2. Tick more, or hold Shift and tick another comment to select everything in between.
3. To take every comment loaded in the list, click **Select all** in the top bar.

The top bar then shows how many you picked and the actions below. Click the X (**Clear selection**) to stop. You can also select comments inside the [post viewer](https://brandwise.ai/help/comments/see-every-comment-on-a-post).

## Actions

| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Bulk AI Reply** | Writes an AI reply for each comment so you can review and send them (see below) |
| **Mark as read / unread** | Changes the read state |
| **Hide / unhide** | **Hide comments** or **Unhide comments** on the platform |
| **Moderate** | Runs AI moderation on comments marked **AI Moderation Off** |
| **Apply smart label** | Sets a Smart Label, or **Remove labels** |
| **Assign to a teammate** | Assigns every selected comment to one person |
| **Delete** | Deletes the comments from the platform after you confirm |

Each menu shows how many of the selected comments the action applies to. Delete doesn't work on TikTok, and hide doesn't work on mentions or deleted comments. Larger batches run in the background, and the comments show their progress in the list.

> **Warning:** Deleting is permanent. Hide comments instead if you might want them back.

## Reply to many comments with AI

1. Select up to 75 comments.
2. Click the sparkle button (**Bulk AI Reply**).
3. Wait while a reply is written for each comment. You can edit any reply, use **Ask AI to improve** to rework it, **Preview Original Post** for context, or **Remove** a comment from the batch.
4. Click **Send All Replies**.

Replies are queued and sent one after another in the background so the platforms don't rate-limit you. Each generated reply uses AI credits. See [How AI credits work](https://brandwise.ai/help/account-billing/ai-credits).
