A campaign watches your Facebook or Instagram posts and sends a DM to people who comment: a coupon code, a link button, or both. For example, post "Comment SAVE for 20% off" and let the campaign send the code.

## Create a campaign

1. Click **Campaigns** in the left menu, then **New campaign**.
2. Give it a name at the top.
3. Work through the five steps below, clicking **Save & next** after each.
4. On **Review**, click **Create campaign**. It starts running right away.

| Step | What you set |
|---|---|
| **Select posts** | The Facebook or Instagram page, and which posts to watch: **Specific posts**, **All posts**, **All ads**, or **All organic posts** |
| **Target audience** | **AI targeting** (recommended) or **Keyword matching** |
| **What to send** | A **Coupon code**, a **Link button**, or both |
| **Message content** | The DM, and an optional public reply |
| **Review** | A summary of everything |

If you leave partway, the draft is saved. Clicking **New campaign** later offers to **Resume draft**.

### Targeting

- **AI targeting:** describe who should get a DM, for example "people asking about price". The AI checks each comment against it and skips spam and complaints.
- **Keyword matching:** add words that trigger the DM. Matching ignores case and also matches inside longer words, so "save" matches "SAVE20".

### Message

- The DM can be up to 800 characters. Write `[COUPON]` where the code should go. A link button appears under the message on its own. Button text can be up to 20 characters.
- **AI variations** (on by default) rewords each DM so people don't all get an identical message. Your code, link, and offer stay as written.
- **Public reply** also answers the comment itself, for example "Check your DMs!"

## Track results

The Campaigns page shows totals for **Sends**, **Clicks**, **CTR**, and **Revenue**, a daily activity chart, and a table with each campaign's **Sends**, **Clicks**, **CTR**, **Sales**, and **Revenue**. Clicks count taps on the link button. Sales and revenue come from Shopify orders that use the campaign's coupon code, so they need a [connected Shopify store](https://brandwise.ai/help/getting-started/connect-your-shopify-store).

## Manage campaigns

From a campaign's row you can pause or activate it, view details, edit it, or archive it. Archiving stops the campaign for good, but its results stay in your totals.

## Good to know

- Each DM a campaign sends uses one [AI credit](https://brandwise.ai/help/account-billing/ai-credits). Campaigns don't send while your organization is out of credits.
- Two active campaigns can't use the same coupon code, so sales are counted correctly.
- Comments hidden by moderation don't trigger a campaign.
- If several campaigns match a comment, only the newest one sends.
- When a campaign answers a comment, your comment Auto Reply doesn't also reply the same way.
