# Connect your Shopify store

> Install the Brandwise app on your Shopify store so order and customer details appear next to conversations.

Connect your Shopify store so your team can see a customer's orders without leaving Brandwise. Obie can look up orders and customers too.

## Connect a store

1. Go to **Settings > Shopify**.
2. Click **Connect a store**. This opens the Brandwise app in the Shopify App Store.
3. Install the app on your store and accept the permissions it asks for.
4. Shopify sends you back to Brandwise and the store is added.

You need to be the organization owner or have the **Manage integrations** permission to see **Settings > Shopify**.

## Store status

Each connected store shows one of these:

| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| **Connected** | Everything is working. |
| **Limited** | The store didn't grant every permission. Reinstall the app from your Shopify admin and accept the full list. |
| **Needs reconnect** | Brandwise can no longer look up orders or customers. Reinstall the app from your Shopify admin. |

On the older Start plan you can connect one store. Once it's connected you'll see **Plan limit reached**, and the button changes to **Upgrade to add another**.

## Where Shopify shows up

- **Email:** order details and order actions next to the thread. See [The email inbox](https://brandwise.ai/help/email/email-inbox).
- **DMs:** link a customer to their Shopify orders. See [The DMs inbox](https://brandwise.ai/help/dms/dms-inbox).
- **Live chat:** order and customer details beside the chat. See [The live chat inbox](https://brandwise.ai/help/live-chat/live-chat-inbox).

## Disconnect a store

You disconnect a store from Shopify, not from Brandwise:

1. In your Shopify admin, open **Apps**.
2. Find Brandwise in your installed apps.
3. Uninstall it.

The store drops off the list in **Settings > Shopify** on its own. Conversations and customer details already in Brandwise are kept.
