# What is the Brandwise MCP?

The Brandwise MCP lets AI tools you already use, like Claude and ChatGPT, work with your Brandwise data. Once connected, you can ask your AI tool questions about your comments, DMs, emails, and live chats, and have it organize your inbox or draft replies for your team.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI tools connect to other apps. Brandwise runs an MCP server your AI tool signs in to.

## What you can do with it

- Search and read comments, DMs, email threads, and live chat conversations.
- Count conversations and see comment sentiment.
- Group conversations into themes to find what customers ask about most.
- Apply smart labels, assign conversations, resolve emails, and add internal notes.
- Create and edit smart labels and knowledge base pages.
- Save reply drafts for your team to review, or send replies.

## What AI tools can't do

Connected AI tools can't change your settings, connect or disconnect accounts, publish new posts, see billing, hide or delete comments, or reach any organization you didn't select when connecting.

## Who can use it

The MCP is available to organizations on an active or trialing paid plan that isn't paused. Any member of an eligible organization can connect an AI tool. You'll find it under **Settings > MCP**.

## How to connect

Brandwise uses a single server URL for every AI tool:

`https://mcp.brandwise.ai/api/mcp`

You sign in with your Brandwise account and approve access. There are no API keys to create or copy. Follow the guide for your tool:

## Does it cost credits?

Some requests use AI credits from your organization's balance, such as reading conversations or sending replies. Counting, looking up your setup, and knowledge base changes are free. See [Credits and limits](https://brandwise.ai/help/mcp/mcp-credits-and-limits).
