# Generate images with Obie

Obie can create images for ads and social posts using **Nano Banana 2**, an AI image model. Describe what you want, or upload a photo of your product and ask for variations.

## Create an image

1. Open **Obie Chat**.
2. Describe the image: the subject, style, colors, any text to include, and the shape you want.
3. Send the message. The image appears in the chat.
4. Ask for changes in plain words, like "make the background warmer" or "try it as a 9:16."

Obie can create up to 3 images in one reply.

## Aspect ratios

If you don't name a shape, Obie makes a square **1:1** image. You can ask for any of these:

## Use your own images as a starting point

1. Click **+** next to the message box and choose **Upload image** (JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to 5 per message). You can also paste or drag images in.
2. Ask Obie to build on them, for example "turn this product photo into an ad for our summer sale."

When you ask for a variation, Obie uses up to the 4 most recent images in the chat as references. That includes images you uploaded and images Obie made earlier.

## Save an image

Click the image to open it at full size, then right-click it and save it. The preview in the chat is cropped to a square, so open it to see the whole image.

> **Note:** Image generation only works in the Brandwise web app. It isn't available in Slack or in scheduled tasks. Images use more AI credits than a text reply.
