# Obie connectors

> Choose which data Obie can use: Shopify, Meta Ads, and Slack, plus the sources that are always on.

Connectors control which of your connected services Obie can use. Some of Obie's data is always available, and a few connectors can be switched on or off.

## Open connectors

Go to **Settings > Obie > Connectors**. You need to be an owner or admin, or have the **Manage integrations** permission.

You can also switch connectors from a chat: click **+** next to the message box, then **Connectors**.

## Connectors you can turn on or off

These are under **Connections**.

| Connector | What Obie gets | Good to know |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Shopify** | Products, orders, customers, inventory, sales, and store traffic. With your approval, Obie can also update products, prices, and inventory | Needs a connected store. If you don't have one, click **Connect a store** |
| **Meta Ads** | Campaign, ad set, and ad performance from your Facebook and Instagram accounts | Only shows when you have a connected Facebook or Instagram account. Not available in Slack or scheduled tasks |
| **Slack** | Lets your team use Obie from Slack channels | Click **Configure** to connect. See [Use Obie in Slack](https://brandwise.ai/help/obie/obie-in-slack) |

Shopify and Meta Ads are on by default once the account is connected.

If a Shopify store hasn't granted every permission Obie can use, you'll see a note with a **Review permissions** link. Without those permissions, some Shopify questions or changes won't work.

## Turn a connector off

1. Click the switch next to **Shopify** or **Meta Ads**.
2. Click **Turn it off** to confirm.

Obie loses access to that data right away, but nothing is disconnected. Your accounts stay linked, and you can switch the connector back on at any time.

To disconnect Slack, remove the Brandwise app from your Slack workspace.

## Always available

Obie can always use these, and they can't be turned off:

- **Inbox**: your comments, DMs, emails, and live chats
- **Knowledge base**: your brand's pages and uploaded documents
- **Automations**: your auto-replies, drafts, and the rules that trigger them
- **Smart labels**: how your messages have been classified

> **Note:** Web search isn't a connector. Turn it on for your chats with **Web search** in the **+** menu next to the message box.
