# Use Obie in Slack

Connect Slack and your team can ask Obie questions from any channel, without opening Brandwise. Obie replies in a thread and can make supported changes after someone approves them.

## Connect Slack

You need to be an owner or admin, or have the **Manage integrations** permission.

1. Go to **Settings > Obie > Connectors**.
2. Next to **Slack**, click **Configure**.
3. Sign in to Slack, choose your workspace, and approve access.

When you're back in Brandwise, Slack shows **On** with your workspace name.

## Talk to Obie

1. In a Slack channel, @mention Obie with your question.
2. Obie replies in a thread.
3. Keep replying in that thread to continue. You don't need to mention Obie again.

Each Slack thread is also saved as a chat in **Obie Chat**, so you can pick it up in Brandwise later.

You can attach JPEG, PNG, or WebP images and PDF files to your message. PDFs are limited to 100 pages per thread.

## Approve changes

When Obie wants to change something, it posts a card describing the change. Click **Confirm** to apply it or **Cancel** to stop. You can also reply `confirm` or `cancel` in the thread.

While a change is waiting, Obie asks you to confirm or cancel before it does anything else in that thread.

> **Warning:** Anyone who can post in the thread can confirm a change. Only add Obie to channels where you trust everyone to approve changes to your Brandwise account.

Obie in Slack uses the same AI credits as the web app.

## Disconnect Slack

Remove the Brandwise app from your Slack workspace in Slack's app settings. Obie stops responding in Slack, and past threads stay in Obie Chat.
