# Meet Obie

> Obie is the AI assistant in Brandwise. Ask questions about your inbox, make changes, and create files.

Obie is the AI assistant built into Brandwise. Ask it about your comments, DMs, emails, and live chats, have it update your account for you, or have it create charts, files, and images.

## Start a chat

1. Click **Obie Chat** in the left menu.
2. Type your question in the message box and press Enter.
3. To start over, click **New chat** in the sidebar.

Past chats are listed in the sidebar and are shared with everyone in your organization.

If your organization has more than one brand, pick the **Brand** before your first message. You can't change it once the chat has started.

## What Obie can do

## Obie asks before changing anything

When Obie wants to change something, it shows an approval card that describes the change. Click **Approve** to go ahead (the button says **Delete** when the change removes something), or **Decline** to stop. Use **View details** or **View changes** to see everything before you decide.

If Obie proposes several changes at once, check the ones you want and click the button at the bottom, such as **Approve all 3**. Unchecked changes are declined.

## The + menu

Click **+** next to the message box:

- **Web search**: lets Obie search the web and read public pages. It's off until you turn it on, and your choice is remembered in this browser.
- **Upload image**: JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to 5 per message. You can also paste or drag images in.
- **Upload PDF**: up to 10 per message and 100 pages per chat.
- **Connectors**: owners, admins, and members who can manage integrations can switch Meta Ads Data and Shopify Data on or off here.

Hover over a reply to copy it or rate it with thumbs up or thumbs down. Your ratings help us improve Obie.

## Credits

Obie uses AI credits, listed as **Obie** in your credit usage. The cost depends on how much work a reply takes, and generating images costs more than text. Replies where Obie edits your knowledge base are free. If your organization runs out of credits, Obie stops replying until you add more.
