Use Obie in Slack

Connect Slack and your team can ask Obie questions from any channel, without opening Brandwise. Obie replies in a thread and can make supported changes after someone approves them.

Connect Slack

You need to be an owner or admin, or have the Manage integrations permission.

1. Go to Settings > Obie > Connectors.
2. Next to Slack, click Configure.
3. Sign in to Slack, choose your workspace, and approve access.

When you're back in Brandwise, Slack shows On with your workspace name.

Talk to Obie

1. In a Slack channel, @mention Obie with your question.
2. Obie replies in a thread.
3. Keep replying in that thread to continue. You don't need to mention Obie again.

Each Slack thread is also saved as a chat in Obie Chat, so you can pick it up in Brandwise later.

You can attach JPEG, PNG, or WebP images and PDF files to your message. PDFs are limited to 100 pages per thread.

Approve changes

When Obie wants to change something, it posts a card describing the change. Click Confirm to apply it or Cancel to stop. You can also reply confirm or cancel in the thread.

While a change is waiting, Obie asks you to confirm or cancel before it does anything else in that thread.

Obie in Slack uses the same AI credits as the web app.

Disconnect Slack

Remove the Brandwise app from your Slack workspace in Slack's app settings. Obie stops responding in Slack, and past threads stay in Obie Chat.
