Troubleshooting MCP
Fixes for common problems connecting AI tools to Brandwise and using them day to day.
Most MCP problems come down to the organization's plan, an expired or revoked connection, or credits. Start with Settings > MCP > Recent activity, which shows whether each request Succeeded, Failed, was Denied, or was Rate limited.
MCP is missing from Settings
Settings > MCP only appears for organizations on an active or trialing paid plan that isn't paused. Check the plan under Settings > Billing, or ask someone who manages billing. See Plans and billing.
I can't tick an organization when connecting
On the Authorize Agent Access page, organizations without an eligible plan show Requires a paid plan and can't be selected. If none of your organizations qualify, the page says Agent Access requires a paid plan instead.
Only organizations you're a member of are listed. If one is missing, ask an owner to invite you.
The sign-in page says the request can't be completed
Go back to your AI tool and start the connection again. If it keeps happening, contact Brandwise support.
My AI tool stopped working or says access is invalid
Reconnect from your AI tool. This usually happens when:
- Someone revoked the connection under Settings > MCP.
- The connection wasn't used for about 30 days.
- One of the organizations on the connection lost its eligible plan, for example because it was paused. When that happens the whole connection stops working. Reconnect and tick only organizations with an eligible plan.
The AI tool can't reach an organization
If you connected several organizations, tell the AI which one you mean by name. It can look them up with list_.
If the organization isn't on the connection at all, connect again and tick it. Then revoke the old connection under Settings > MCP so you don't have two.
Requests fail with an out-of-credits or payment error
Your organization doesn't have enough credits for that request, or its credits are on hold because of a payment problem. Add credits or fix the payment method, then try again. Asking for fewer results also lowers what a request needs. See Credits and limits.
Requests are rate limited
The AI tool made too many requests too quickly. Wait a moment and ask again. Nothing is charged for a rate-limited request.
A reply was posted publicly by mistake
send_ delivers replies right away, and comment replies are public unless sent privately by DM. Remove the reply directly on the social platform if needed.
To avoid it next time, tell your AI tool to only save drafts with submit_. Drafts wait in the conversation's reply box until a teammate sends them.
I can't revoke a connection
You can always revoke your own connections. To revoke someone else's, you need to be an owner or admin, or have the Manage integrations permission.
